“Learning to grow is the most human thing we can do.”

Growing up I've always thought of my self as a more creative person than an academic one. Building things with legos and playing building video games like Minecraft with my brothers took up a large portion of my childhood. However, having an active imagination it was hard to stay focused in primary school, as I would get lost in my own head and in turn ignore what was going on in class. Couple this with an English learning disability and you have a recipe for being in an I.E.P class for most of grade school. This never swayed me from my ultimate goal though, for as long as I can remember I dreamed of becoming an architect and going into high school This would influence me further to become what I've always felt I was destined to become. As all of my classes were chosen to help me succeed in that dream of mine. Through the struggle and the long hours that I think all students can relate to, I pushed myself to be better than who I was yesterday and after a long four years I would eventually graduate, with a feeling of pride, and hollowness. If I were able to succeed in my life long dream then I would have to postpone my post-secondary education for a year in order to have a better shot at becoming an architect. Watching the people you grew up with leave to achieve their full potential while you stay behind makes you feel stuck. Although I hold on to the fact that this is the sacrifice that will lead me to what I've always wanted. Which leads me to now. I attend Seneca College as a part-time student in the welding field, and have created this website where I can express my skills and philosophy about everything I am passionate about. I hope that others can be inspired by this site.

It's not about your disabilities or what obstacles you face, its what you do in spite of those roadblocks that will define you.

Art I feel is not just something that can be only experienced in a gallery behind glass, I feel that if it can move you, bring you joy, fear, unease then that is truly art.
